Dear Families,
During the first part of the year, we practice lots of Grace and Courtesy lessons, which help us to know how to be in our community. This week we practiced rolling and unrolling our work rugs, how to carry a chair, how to observe a lesson, and how to sit safely in a gathering. We walk at the 'Honeysuckle pace': slow and steady, hands at our side, watching with our eyes. We talk with a 'Honeysuckle voice': quiet volume and kind tone. All of these are habits we work to develop in the children so they can exist together peacefully. They do their very best to remember all of these 'ways to be'.
We welcomed Nivaan, George, River, and Jordan this week!
