A lot happened this week with weather changes, language discussions and preparations for today's International Festival. We are grateful for all your work at home to support your child's success in the community. Together, we are inspiring curious, kind and collaborative individuals.

Lessons this week included color mixing and texture, fractions, earth's rotation, area, volume, pie charts and synonyms. Children solved word puzzles, explored geographical maps, and completed research and construction projects for our Switzerland table.

Children started each morning by collaborating with a "work partner," which fostered leadership in elders and revealed fruitful new working relationships. We will experiment with new pairings next week, and slowly phase out this practice as children internalize the variety of opportunities available to them.

Just a reminder that your child needs to chat with me before bringing workbooks or novelty items to school. It's important for your child and me to agree on a plan for appropriate use before the item arrives. We did a better job this week, although a new distraction was jewelry.  Thanks for your continued watchful eyes on what gets out of the car with your child each morning.
