Thanks for a great festival this year!
We had so much fun at the International Festival on Saturday! The weather was lovely and it was so nice to see everyone having fun in the Courtyard, kids and adults alike. Thanks so much to all the students, guides, and volunteers who helped with the festival and table displays - really nice job everyone!
A personal favorite of mine is seeing all the pins in the big map showing where our community members come from. It's pretty amazing to see the diversity of our school represented in such a concrete way. It's also a great reminder that the big wide world is full of people just like us!
For children, developing an understanding of other cultures and what is the same and different around the world, builds respect and empathy. Over the past few weeks, our CMS students have expanded their understanding of what life in another country is like. Highlighting and celebrating what's cool about those places, also calls on us to look around our own place and appreciate what is unique and interesting here.
Wouldn't it be fun to have a Night Out this Friday?
The next Nova Parent's Night Out is coming up this Friday. Kids ages 5 and up can hang out with Nova Adolescent Community students and guides for a fun filled evening. Click here for more info and to register your child.
Space is limited so be sure you grab one of the remaining spots! While you're at it, make plans now for some holiday shopping time and sign up for the December 8th PNO.
