Happy Friday! This week we spent some time each day practicing how to move carefully through the classroom. The children work hard to slow their bodies and be mindful of their movements. They love challenging themselves, give this a try at home. We took advantage of the cooler mornings to clean out some of our garden beds and water our struggling courtyard natives. We discovered a tiny bunny and put some water out for it. The children have been enjoying watching a variety of birds visit our birdbath to cool off and drink. We talked about spiders and learned the names of their body parts. We hunted for webs and discussed the slow, meticulous process it takes for a spider to create one. The natural surroundings of our campus provide SO many opportunities to learn about animals, plants and insects and our job as humans to support and protect them. We are hoping for cooler weather next week to further explore. Please join us in welcoming Alex to our community!
