This week the older children did something absolutely brilliant! While collaborating together, two 5 year olds spent a big part of our morning work period making a long list of pairings that go together. Using two movable alphabets, two floor mats, and lots of creativity, the children put together a list of very interesting and sometimes funny things that go together. Starting with shoes and socks, shorts and pants, rain and umbrella, bucket and water, head and brain, pencil and paper, lips and chapstick! The children were immersed with deep concentration working together while using logic, critical thinking and great writing skills, and of course they had lots of fun as well!
This week we welcomed Vivienne into our classroom!
