What a lovely change in weather it has been. We are so thankful for the nice weather in the afternoons while the children are enjoying their recess on the playground. This has given the children lots of practice putting on and removing their coats and jackets. What a great opportunity for independence. Please offer the children the opportunity to show you how they put on their jackets while at school. They have been practicing how to button and unbutton their cardigans as well. Zipping and unzipping their jackets has been another exercise that the children are practicing. Please allow those moments of independence at home while sending the message to your children that they are capable of taking care of themselves.

A big thank you to the Crepps-Jones family for taking care of our garden and making it so lovely! And to Carmen Velez, our room mom, for helping the children color the Argentinian flag and map for our International Festival!

LABEL everything that comes to school: jackets, sweaters, mittens, beanies, extra clothing for their cubbies, and snack containers, please. Sending a warm jacket will be enough since it has been difficult to keep up with all those extra layers of clothing and our storage capacity is very limited.

Remember to pack fruits and veggies as a quick, light, and safe morning snack. No glass containers, please.

Join us this Saturday the 4th from 10-12pm for the International Festival. We will represent  Argentina and the children are very excited!

See you tomorrow,

Vanessa and Lois
