Our week was very busy with lots of various work and fun projects. From creative story writing, studying simple and compound leaves, learning about areas of triangles and trapezoids, squaring binomials and trinomials, to practicing navigation with a compass, factors, algebraic equations, researching fossils, our students were committed to finishing their work and making more right and independent choices.

The youngest community members heard the last Great Story of Numbers while a few of the the eldest prepared the River Model for a series of lessons and many children continued to work on the Grammar City. We have been studying Spanish words daily and to continue learning about the Hispanic heritage, we dove deep into the Inca civilization.

Thank you so much for signing up to take care of Lavender. Since hedgehogs are nocturnal, taking her home on the weekend gives the children a great opportunity to engage with her, observe and warm up to a pet if your child is asking for one.

Fall conferences are coming up so please check your email for our sign up link that will be sent in the next few days. The conferences are in person and you will receive a notification of the conference report from us available on the Transparent Classroom a few days prior. We have one slot for each family per child on Monday, October 23rd between 8 am and 4 pm and on Tuesday, October 24 between 8:20 am and 12:20 pm.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the cooler temperature!

Warm regards,

The Redbud Team
