Hope you all had a fun weekend and enjoyed the cooler weather with your loved ones. Did you get to see the solar eclipse? It was such a fun experience. We are looking forward to the next one in April 2024. 

Some families have questions if we are going to do anything on 10/31. This age group, a consistent routine is very important. It is a regular school day. Denise and I will do some fun activities with the children in class. We will not be having a "Halloween" party or be changing into costumes. However, we will have a class Pumpkin day on October 31st. We will be doing many fun math, science and art activities with the small pumpkins in class. We are going to weigh, measure, roll and float our pumpkins. Then we will decorate those little pumpkins. Please send a small or mini pumpkin to the class with your child for those fun activities. 

Denise had foot surgery last week. Emily is helping us until Denise is ready to return to the classroom. Wish her a speedy recovery!

Reminders,

• We also need a donation of a big pumpkin. Please let me know if you can send one big pumpkin in addition to your child's small pumpkin to the class.
• Fall Parent Conference is on October 23rd. It is a no school day for children and no childcare will be offered. 
• Parents conference is a parent-only event. Please arrange the childcare during your conference. If your schedule is during the school hours, you don't need to worry about it. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0A4BACAC3-44912825-fall#/
• Please send silverware (spoon and fork) for your child's lunch. We don't have a dishwasher in class to sanitize the silverware so we no longer offer silverware to the children in the class.
